What A Week So Far!

We have had SO many fun activities this week and it's only Tuesday!

Yesterday, we earned a whole school reward for earning so many STARbucks. Mrs. Dressler invited us to the cafe for popcorn and a movie! We watched the movie, The Lorax, which taught us about how important it was to take care of our environment in a fun way.

Today, Ms. P from the Science Center brought a hedgehog to visit our school to talk about mammals and the book The Mitten by Jan Brett. We have been learning so much about hedgehogs and Ms. P taught us so much more. Be sure to ask your child about a fact that they have learned about hedgehogs.

Happy New Year!

It was so great to be back to school this week. I am definitely one to have a schedule and routine! We missed having our classroom buzzing with learning, fun, and excitement.

We learned about some funny New Year's Eve traditions and then talked about resolutions. We thought about things that we could learn to do, improve upon, or stop doing all together. There were so many great ideas! Some students plan to practice singing, learning to jump on a pogo stick, and keeping their rooms clean.

Today in library, we made a word splash about winter and learned about what animals and humans do in the winter time. Some of us like to play in the snow, eat the snow, and have hot chocolate after playing all day.

Here's our word splash!

Happy Friday and enjoy your weekend!
